Day 101: Question a document before you file it.
A document can look ready to archive while a due date, reference number, or requested follow-up is still hiding in the text; before you file it, give an image-capable AI assistant the page and ask for a traceable extraction, not a loose summary.
Copy and paste this prompt: "Read the attached document before I file it. Extract every visible date, amount, reference number, requested action, and deadline. For each item, quote the exact visible text that supports it and note the page or section if available. Do not infer missing details. Mark anything unclear, conflicting, incomplete, or hard to read as UNCERTAIN, explain why, and list the questions I should resolve before filing."
The useful outcome is a compact filing check with the facts you may need later, the source words beside each fact, and a visible queue of unresolved points for you to verify against the original. Keep the original document as the authority, remove or mask sensitive information when appropriate, and check every quoted item before naming, routing, or archiving the file. Tomorrow, we will map a workflow before choosing anything to automate. - Ivy
