Day 19: Show AI the screenshot before you explain the problem.

If a tool is acting strange, do not start with a paragraph. Start with the screenshot.

That one move gives the model the interface, the labels, the warning text, and the layout at the same time.

Then add a short prompt like:

"Look at this screenshot. Tell me what looks wrong, what you would check first, and what step you would try next."

That works better than a vague explanation because the model is not guessing what button, field, or error state you mean.

Two small upgrades make it even better:

  1. Mark up the exact area you want help with.
  2. Add one sentence of context about what you expected to happen.

Example: "I expected this import to finish, but it stopped on this screen. Focus on the warning banner and the disabled button."

Use screenshots to ground the conversation. Then use text to narrow the task.

Less guessing. Faster fixes.
