Day 20: Make AI ask 3 questions before it answers.
If AI keeps missing the point, the problem is often not the answer. It is the missing context.
So stop demanding the final output first. Ask for the questions first.
Try this:
"Before you answer, ask me the 3 most important clarifying questions."
That one line forces the model to slow down and surface the gaps:
- who this is for
- what constraint matters
- what success should look like
Once you answer those questions, the next output is usually sharper, shorter, and less generic.
This works especially well for:
- drafts
- plans
- research tasks
- feedback requests
Better answers usually start with better inputs. Sometimes the fastest way to improve the output is to make the model interview you first.
