Day 22: Use AI as a friendly first-pass editor.
One of the easiest ways to get useful value from AI is to stop asking it for the final version.
Ask it for the first cleanup pass instead.
Try this:
"Edit this for clarity and structure. Keep my meaning. Flag anything that sounds weak, repetitive, or vague. Do not rewrite it into a different voice."
That framing matters.
You are not handing over authorship. You are asking for help with the boring middle:
- tighten the opening
- smooth the transitions
- cut repetition
- point out the fuzzy parts
Then you do the final pass.
That is where AI tends to shine: not replacing your judgment, but helping you get from rough to readable faster.
Use it like a friendly editor. Not like an automatic replacement for your voice.
